THE CATHEDRAL QUARTER
The Cathedral Quarter walking tour takes under 90 minutes and is mostly on the flat.
This tour is of the uphill area and explains the history from the Romans to the 21st Century and whilst no buildings are entered, the architecture and history of the stunning Cathedral, the dominating Castle and the romantic ruins of The Bishop’s Palace can be enjoyed.
On this tour the homes of the enigmatic Duchess of Lancaster, Lady Katherine Swynford are identified.
The tour will take you along cobbled streets, past the timber-framed buildings and onto the charming independent shops of the Bail.

In 2012 The Academy of Urbanism voted Steep Hill as 'Britain's Best Place' beating off two other finalists - Byres Road Glasgow and Cockburn Street Edinburgh.
Aptly named, Steep Hill is a Roman Road with a variety of architecture and a plethora of independent shops.
Steep Hill connects the downhill shopping area of Lincoln to the historic Cathedral Quarter guaranteeing an unforgettable experience!

Tours can be provided in French and the Scandinavian languages.
